THE BRIEF: To celebrate Neighbour Day, a newly developed residential area, Mask Events were engaged to bring the Covella Community together to share a long table dinner under the stars at the local park. ‘Create a casual and relaxed atmosphere, incorporate children’s activations and entertainment to engage the community’.
WHAT WE DELIVERED: An amazing first interaction, neighbourhood experience!
A small and simple park was brought to life with a creative design layout of raw timber tables and chairs to compliment the natural environment. Festoon lighting installed above to create atmosphere and guests enjoyed stage entertainment throughout the evening with an engaging MC, live acoustic Musician and interactive breakout sessions scheduled into the proceedings.
Food trucks and dessert stall vendors strategically positioned to ‘bring together the park’, and allow guests options for catering to enhance the relaxed vibe throughout.
A buzzing children’s zone with multiple Face Painting and Bush Craft Activation stations, as well as a quiet chill area complete with rugs, beanbags, puzzles and books donated from the local library.
The tables featured stunning native florals in posy jars that guests could take home upon conclusion of the evening. Natural palm leaf plate settings and conversation cards were weighted by river rocks, with accompanying paint pens for guests to decorate their rocks as additional keepsakes.
A branded Community space for the host to display upcoming plans for the area and engage directly with the community to build relationships and answer questions.
A beautiful backdrop was installed as a photo opportunity / community suggestions board, complete with complimentary floral features to tie everything together.
From initial engagement and client liaison, all aspects of design, layout and styling. Managing the permit process, bringing in infrastructure and facilities to cater for large attendance numbers. All safety and logistics planned and managed well to include navigating rain during setup, and lightning storms at the conclusion. The Mask Events team went above and beyond to ensure all in attendance had an amazing experience and event goals exceeded above expectation.
