We absolutely love working on charity events, and there’s a special place in our hearts for SunnyKids, who we’ve supported for years.

The SunnyKids vision is “A society in which everyone feels safe, belongs and has a chance to reach their full potential”.  The Sunshine Coast community alone identifies 5,000 at risk children every year.  In response, SunnyKids provides thousands of nights of emergency accommodation, partnering with health, education and child protection agencies to keep these kids safe and break intergenerational cycles of disadvantage.

On 8th June we were blessed to organise the Travis Schultz Wine Makers’ Masterclass, which raised an incredible $91,000 for this wonderful charity!  Talk about all the feels ?

Travis Schultz is one of Sunshine Coast’s greatest wine connoisseurs and one of the biggest supporters of charities on the Coast.  Travis Schultz Law are guardians of the Wine Makers’ event, originally created by STO Law, dedicating all proceeds to the very worthy cause of SunnyKids.  The event was backed by NAB Private.

Four amazing wine makers were invited to provide their wines across a range of lunch courses and speak about their wines with the guests.  This year guests had the opportunity to experience wines from:

Jane Ferrari- Yalumba wines

Darren Naylor – Brockenchack wines

Justin Nugent – Bird in hand wines

Diana Palmer – Skillogalee wines

Maroochy RSL created an exquisite menu, as they do for us at every event.  The Wine Makers must have had a brilliant time matching wines with the delicious food Maroochy RSL provided!

This event was so fun to style.  We used purple as the focus colour, giving the event the warm, luscious feel of a deep merlot on a Winter’s night.  Travis Schultz Law has some gorgeous pops of purple in their new branding, so we tied in the Pantone colour of the year, Ultra Violet, with all styling.

Balloon arrangements are on trend now, so we created a velvet look using oxide balloons.  We followed an Ombre-feel styling throughout the room, with balloons ranging from greys to deep purple as the focal point.

Florals in complementary tones were used within the balloon sculpture, at the entrance and in the table centrepieces.  Each centrepiece had its own unique look, whilst maintaining the styling theme.  Best of all, each floral centrepiece was available to purchase via donation to SunnyKids!

The After-Party was held at Back Lane, Mooloolaba.  We organised an open broadcast with Todd and Sami from MixFM 92.7, who did a fantastic job creating a buzz and raising even more awareness for the great work SunnyKids and their supporters are doing.

What an inspirational day surrounded by guests and businesses who deeply care about making a difference to these kids.  A massive thanks to all involved for raising $91,000 to help give kids the chance to reach their amazing potential.
